Polywood Remote Control Shutter Warranty

The “Remote Control Polywood shutter” has a 2-part warranty. First, Sunburst Shutters warrants the shutter itself to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, and installation for the life of the product. Second, Sunburst Shutters warrants the Remote Control motor, shutter gear-mechanism, and remote control device to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 years from the installation date. This warranty is only valid for the original customer. This warranty does not cover:

• Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, unauthorized product modification.
• Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by Sunburst Shutters.
• Causes external to the product.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Damage due to failure to follow proper instructions for cleaning and maintenance.
• Any damage to the motor or shutter-gear mechanism due to manual operation of the remote-controlled shutter’s louvers. (Since the motor is not capable of stripping the louvers out of the mechanism, any stripped/non-working louvers will be considered to be caused by manual operation and therefore, not included under the warranty.)

If a product proves to be defective in materials or workmanship during the warranty period, Sunburst Shutters will, at its sole option, repair or replace any defective product. There are no other warranties, expressed or implied, which extend beyond the description herein, including the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or use with the respect to the product. Sunburst Shutters’ liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the product.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from locality to locality. Some localities do not allow limitations on implied warranties, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
